Meet Sopha. She is currently one of the most experienced and skilled knitters from the small community Trapeang Anh Chan (TAC). Sopha is the grandmother of two children and like many, were relocated from central Phnom Penh in 2012 to make way for a railway project.
She is paralyzed from the waist down, meaning she is unable to travel into the city to work. Thanks to support like yours, Cambodia Knits project has provided Sopha with the skills to produce handmade products while earning a fair income close to home. Sopha now produces upwards of 200 knitted products a month, a crucial means of income for her family.
